Nothing is better than the CES for consumer electronics; every year the products featured in the show just keep getting better and better. The CES 2009 is going to be no different, moreover the tech frenzy will expect out of the box creations in the forthcoming show. One such confirmation to feature in the versatile tech assortment will be the student-friendly, Intel-powered Classmate PC with a touchscreen interface. Confirmed by LaptopMag, dubbed the Convertible Classmate PC, it will feature a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD, working on a modest Windows XP Home OS.

The netbook designed specifically for the kids is stuffed with a fun inviting touchscreen interface (for both figure and stylus input) and a responsive accelerometer. The kids will have a sturdy webcam to flaunt in the Convertible Classmate PC that converts handwritten into editable text, and features a palm rejection technology, so that the negligent child doesn’t mess around with the other icons while working on a specific one.
