Here is a heaven revealed for hardcore gamers - a 73-inch 3D display demonstrated at CES in Las Vegas. Mitsubishi and Nvidia have exposed the 73-inch 3D display that is based on the “LCD shutter method,” and LSI (GPU) “GeForce” series graphic card, but is basically for playing videogames to begin with.
The technology used involves dedicated liquid crystal glasses, which allow each eye to view videos and images individually for themselves at high speeds. However, the manufacturers have synchronized the display and the glasses with an infrared transmitter and receiver, and the 3D display with high frame frequency of 120Hz also has dedicated 3D glasses designed by Nvidia.
