Computer security, all in a USB flash drive

What if you could easily add a protective shield around your PC to ward off viruses, malware and other threats? Yoggie Security Systems says it has just such a solution with its Pico Gatekeeper.

What looks like a USB flash drive is an actual linux computer that filters all incoming traffic and performs 12 different kinds of tasks including attacking viruses, spyware, phishing, spam and other threats. The computer actually blocks outside invaders and hides the computer from hackers.

The Pico Gatekeeper also boosts your computer's performance by offloading the security tasks, allowing your computer to focus on your own applications.

The Gatekeeper is meant to be a plug and forget device. It checks for updates every five minutes and receives several updates a day. You don't have to worry about making sure you have the latest security software updates.

The Pico Gatekeeper, which has been on sale since October, was awarded a CES Best of Innovations 2008 award for computer accessories.
