We have heard of it and seen it in the works for a while now or perhaps a little more. But CES 2009 is the place where the long-awaited Model 2+ from OQO is unveiled. Showcasing a full 5-inch OLED touchscreen display, the world’s first PC with integrated Active Matrix OLED display is now formally up for grabs.
The smallest Vista PC in the world is made available with a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 CPU and supports 800 x 480 resolutions capable of 1024×768 on zooming out. Packing wireless connectivity via Qualcomm’s Gobi multimode wireless chipset, the Model 2+ has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 2GB RAM and a 120GB hard drive. Available for $999, this MID/PC fits the vacant slot between the smartphone and the notebook, but sure is worth the grab.
