Suenghyun Kim, LG’s Synthesis mobile was created for the LG design competition. The designer’s inspiration was nature itself, to be more precise, photosynthesis, hence the name. It’s a gorgeous handset complete with eco friendly solar panels to charge the BT headset and a charging cum speaker dock that looks like a tree branch. It also features a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 5mp camera and a 1.3MP secondary for video calling (very neatly hidden in front) and was also designed to house a whopping 32GB of space. Nature never looked hotter.
A new i7 powered laptop called X-Note R590 is announced by LG. Boast a 15.6 inch LED Backlight display with a 1600×900 resolution, LG X-Note R590 is powered by an i7 processor (either 820QM or 720QM), 4GB of RAM, 500GB HDD and an Nvidia GeForce CT 230M with 1GB of VRAM.
The actual benefits of transparent displays are yet to be explained – beyond the sheer cool factor, of course – but that isn’t stopping manufacturers from announcing them. Both LG Display and Samsung Mobile Display have been flaunting their respective transparent OLEDs, the former having a full 15-inch OLED panel ideal for notebooks, while the latter has a 2-inch OLED panel intended for cellphones.
Each replaces what would usually be the black portion of the display with transparency instead. Where OLED displays usually emit light either from the positive or negative electrodes – e.g. viewable from a single side – these new panels emit light from both electrodes simultaneously, and are encapsulated in a transparent sheath.
Korean phone maker LG has been teasing us with rumors about a lower-end version of its successful BL40 Chocolate Touch handset and now they have a video to cast any doubts away. The LG BL20 Chocolate phone, touted as the "ultra thin and compact 3G cell phone," is introduced with some of its main features such as a sliding red keypad, touch-sensitive navigation keys, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and Schneider-KREUZNACH optics, and Text Scan that lets you capture clear images of notes or memos.
LG rolled out its Windows 7 powered laptop called LG X-Note T380. Arrive with a 13.3 inch LED backlight display, X-Note T380 amazingly comes in a slim and light casing measured at 25 mm thick only while its weight just 1.89 kg. The machine packs an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphic chipset and Wi-Fi N connectivity.
LG has released the official shots of successor of its fashion series Chocolate handset. The BlackLabel series handset would be targeting the same audience as that of the LG Chocolate did a few years back. Chocolate was a huge hit then and this new BlackLabel handset has also been designed by the same people who designed the Chocolate. So it has to be more than worth a look.
Though you are not going to see this anytime soon, presenting the LG HiFi concept that gives you a geeky cellphone that doubles as a headphone. HiFi is the winner of LG’s ‘Design the Future’ competition. While LG works this out to reality, we should please ourselves with these.
LG launches in UK its new M7WD series LCD HDTV that has a curvaceous shapeand slim silhouette.
This new mobile phone design has reportedly recently won an award with the International Forum Design in Germany and some photos had surfaced, but no real specs, release date or price, yet.
The mobile phone in question called the KE850 sports a new design from LG that we really like. Instead of having a keypad that has to be slid out or opened, it has the keypad right on the display as a touch screen. Touch screens like this have had in the past, and will probably continue to have, their share of trash talk from those who really don’t like finger prints or smudges on their screens, along with others that have “fat fingers” and have trouble narrowing down to one item on the screen to press. Overall this looks to us like a promising design.
