Sony smallest USB finger vein reader

   Sony in Japan has introduced the smallest USB biometric scanner yet, for reading users’ finger vein patterns. This new smallest yet is called the FVA-U1. Sony labels the technology mofiria and says that it’s more accurate and secure than fingerprint readers since it relies on unique blood vein patterns in the finger. The FVA-U1 connects to PCs via USB 2.0.

New Sony Walkman NWZ-E Series [Walkman NWZ-E435, NWZ-E436 & NWZ-E438 Details Revealed]

    Thanks to what appears to be an unintentional leak on their New Zealand website by none other than Sony themselves, we now have the first details concerning what appears to be a new entry-level range of Sony Walkmans known as the NWZ-E Series – specifically the Walkman NWZ-E435, NWZ-E436 and NWZ-E438 – which would appear to be set for release sometime in September (our speculation).
    The new Sony Walkmans, which measure in from a decidedly slim 8.5mm and weigh from just 50g, sport 2” 262K colour QVGA TFT LCD displays, offer MP3, WMA, AAC, and Linear PCM audio and H.264 / MPEG-4 video file format compatibility, come with integrated FM tuners and will offer storage capacities ranging from 2GB to 8GB.

Sony recalls PC batteries

      Sony Corp said five PC makers including HP, Toshipa will recall 1,00,000 batteries made by Japanese for fire hazard. Already 35,000 batteries were colleted by Sony and Tokyo-based company.

Dell XPS, 24 Inches Super Sized

    Dell’s XPS! Yes, it’s the new product by Dell that joins Apple, Sony, and HP in the large screen all-in-one category. It’s the new 24-inch model. Price starts at $1,699, and the new XPS One 24 will come in regular and (PRODUCT) RED versions. Each includes a 2.3GHz Intel Core 2 Quad E8200 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a variety of multimedia-friendly features, according to CNET

PSP Go Leaked

       Engadget recently revealed leaked photos-and videos to boot-of Sony's latest edition of its handheld console called PSP Go about a week from its major launch at E3.  At the surface, the PSP Go has a sliding controller that has the directional and action buttons placed closer to each other compared to its predecessor.  It still bears it single slide joystick right at the central part of the controller.

     Sony has unveiled a brand new set of USB flash storage devices under its Micro-Vault product line that has added a novel design feature to the ubiquitous device. They’ve removed the cap. I think it’s partly because they know that about 99% of USB flash drive users will lose them within the first 30 seconds of use and partly because they had a much better idea. The new Click series of Micro-Vault flash drives has integrated a ballpoint pen-like clickable feature that causes the business end of the drive to pop out when it’s depressed. Click it once, it’s open. Click it again, it’s closed. There’s got to be some marketing gold in there somewhere.

    Sony introduced the VAIO UX Micro PC, placing full-size computer performance in a pocket-sized package Weighing just over a pound, the new PC has a Microsoft XP Professional operating system and an Intel Core Solo Ultra Low Voltage CPU for fast processing and long battery life. The UX model also features a 4.5-inch wide SVGA screen with XBRITE technology for viewing that slides up to expose an integrated keyboard. This allows you to access familiar applications easily in the same way you would on a full-sized computer.

Sony P-Series Lifestyle PC finally unveiled

      After teasers and a spotting in the wild, Sony has finally unveiled the P-Series PC. The small “lifestyle PC” weighs just 1.41lb and has an 8-inch screen. It runs on Vista OS and can connect to the net via Verizon 3G Signal, or through Wi-Fi using the quick wireless N.
